Sixth Annual Tenfold Initiative Scholarship
LaineGabriel Accepting Applications for Sixth Annual TenFold Initiative Scholarship
Annual scholarship honors teachers, supports aspiring art students
Powell, Ohio—Powell-based advertising agency LaineGabriel is currently accepting applications for the sixth annual TenFold Initiative Scholarship, a $1,500 scholarship awarded to a central Ohio student pursuing higher education in art and design.
“We started the TenFold Initiative six years ago as a way to honor teachers who go above and beyond to support students,” said Lisa Laine Miller, LaineGabriel founding principal. “Two of my high school teachers made personal financial contributions to help me go to college and achieve my dreams. This scholarship is my way of paying them back and paying it forward‒tenfold.”
Letters with information about the scholarship opportunity were recently sent out to local high school counselors. The scholarship is awarded based on the quality of art samples submitted as well as financial need.
“Since we started the TenFold Initiative in 2011, we have kept in touch with our scholarship recipients, and it has been wonderful to see them succeed in college,” said James Gabriel Brown, LaineGabriel founding principal. “We know many of these students would not have been able to attend college without scholarship aid, and we are proud to be able to support them.”
In addition to the annual scholarship, LaineGabriel staff give back through the TenFold Initiative through speaking to area schools about careers in art and design and mentoring students with an interest in this career path.
The deadline to submit applications is June 20, 2016. Apply now.
