Moving to a new location requires guidance – and a really cute guide.
When Bob Evans needed to leave its long-standing headquarters for greener pastures and a brand new building, they were deluged with questions and faced with the prospect of lost productivity and revenue during the transition.
In partnership with the internal communications department, LaineGabriel went right to work interviewing employees to find the biggest pain points and biggest concerns regarding this move. Where will my desk be? What’s an open environment? How will I find a parking space? All that we perhaps take for granted were addressed in a series of lunch and learn discussions, and onsite and offsite signage to guide employees to something as simple as the cafeteria or the water fountain. We left no stone unlabeled – and with the help of a guided tour book of the new building – the move went off without a hitch on the weekend and productivity was ramped up to full speed by Monday morning. All thanks to great communications and a cute little pig named Otto.
